Setting permissions for sharepoint does not work

description

Hi there,

With the use of TFS Administration Tool I have set rights for a specific (domain) user for Sharepoint. Going to the Sharepoint environment and looking at the permissions I actually see that the user is added. Unfortunately he is not able to access the website eventhough he is added in the permissions list.

But now, when I add this user to sharepoint by hand, he can than access sharepoint which made me think the issue is with TFS Administration tool. Looking at the details of both scenarios, when using the TFS Administration tool the user is added as domain\username. But when I add this same user via Sharepoint, the username added is prefixed by i:0#.w| . Only the last scenario works.

Does somebody know why this happens and how to solve it? We are using TFS2012.4 and Sharepoint Foundation 2013 both on Windows Server 2012 (Sharepoint on R2).

Thanks in advance!
