What I noticed in the log is that the administration tool appears to be using http://corp-tfsapp:8080/tfs/InmarCollection//DummyReportServiceUrl.asmx, shouldn't it use http://corp-tfsapp/ReportServer/ReportService2005.asmx to test the connection?

Not sure if this is the problem but it does seem mighty suspisious.   Where does the tfs admin tool get the ReportingServiceURL from.

Please advise as to how I might be able to resolve this issue.

I was able to reproduce the behavior once on one of my test servers. This can occur if the "Reports Folder" is not correctly configured for the team project collection. Could you please open Team Foundation Administration Console, select the InmarCollection team project collection, and click on the "Reports Folder" tab. Make sure that this setting is configured and it points to the correct location. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, Ladislau

I've been bit by this before and could not find anything wrong with my TFS Admin and Reporting Server settings. I downloaded the code and found that the report service URL was being pulled from my local TFS cache and that the information in the cache was incorrect. I closed VS2010 and the TFS Admin Tool and removed data under C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Team Foundation\2.0\Cache . I restarted TFS Admin Tool and the Reporting Service URL was now pointing to the right URL.

I hope this helps.
